Women all want to look pretty whenever they go out of the house. It is not because they are vain, that’s just how they are. Ladies may put-on makeup for parties and even for just going to the supermarket. They put tons and tons of glitterati and countless types of pore clogging goo that they end up with bad skin defeating the very purpose of putting on makeup in the first place. There are so many chemicals in these products plus exposure to the sun may damage the skins outer most surface leaving it dry and scaly. This is usually seen when the skin turn wrinkly and you can almost write your name across your forearm. This is called dry skin. The best way to heal it is by using natural moisturizers for the skin.
Moisturizers like lotions and creams have a simple basic function, to retain and return moisture to the skin. They may be fortified with other ingredients like Vitamin E which is a popular anti-oxidant and is believed to heal the skin surface faster. It is also said that it imparts a natural looking glow making the skin look fresher and younger. Other moisturizers may also have natural oils added to them to further add to the moisturizing effect of the product plus it also imparts a fragrant scent masking the smell of the other chemicals. The most common oils used are coconut, jasmine, bergamot, ylang-ylang, beeswax and other essential oils. Alcohol is also added in small amounts as a preservative or solvent to help with the compounding as some acids may be introduced.
Natural moisturizers for the skin are preferred by most users as they have less or no reaction to the product. For those that are high in acids and other strong reacting chemicals, some women may have adverse reactions to them such as eczema and psoriasis. They may then need to be treated with another kind of cream that may also have moisturizing effects. For those whose skins are severely damaged and the cracked areas seem to itch or have a burning sensation, this may be a sign of other illnesses and not just your ordinary dry skin. They need to see a certified dermatologist and have them treated with antibiotics to prevent further inflammation and secondary infection.
Prevention has always been better than the cure. And when it comes to natural moisturizers, nothing can compare to the effects of drinking adequate amounts of water. It is highly recommended that you drink at least two liters a day even more during hot summer months for proper hydration. Whenever you venture outdoors and get exposed to the sun put on a layer of sunscreen or sun block to protect your face and arms to avoid getting sunburn. If you have put-on makeup, immediately take-it off after the party or at the end of the day, rinse it thoroughly with soap and water and moisturize your face before going to bed. Avoid drinking too many alcoholic drinks as they may also dehydrate you.
