Natural Moisturizers

Natural moisturizers are moisturizers with very little, or no chemicals added to them. They are usually applied to dry and damaged areas of our body like the skin, face, and hair. Most often the culprits are either too much fun in the sun or makeup. The body is subjected too much abuse from either of these that it slowly withers and wrinkles giving us an older look compared to our age. In order to repair these damaged areas of hair, skin or face moisturizers will be needed to help the healing process. Natural moisturizers are often the best way to handle dry areas of skin; they are organic and hypo-allergenic and are well tolerated by most women.

Natural MoisturizersMany examples of natural moisturizers are avocadoes, coconut oils, jojobas and other essential oils. They are usually the base of moisturizers and then certain alpha hydroxyl acids and beta hydroxyl acids are incorporated to make the basic moisturizers. A careful balance is strictly observed in adding acids such as lactic acid, urea and propylene glycol as they may irritate the skin. They primarily function as exfoliates and too much of these in a natural moisturizer may cause a severe burning or itching sensation to those who are allergic or have adverse reactions to them. They may irritate the skin and lead to a much serious condition rather than reparation. Vitamins are also added to most if not all moisturizers because of their ability to radically repair and reduce cellular damage. They also help in protecting against oxygen radicals like ultraviolet light from the sun and increases resistance against inflammation.

For those who want to maintain a healthy balance in life both inside and outside their bodies may want to eat more fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins especially vitamin E which is a oxidizer of radicals in the body, to eat food that are rich in fiber so that wastes and toxins are carried out, t exercise as sweat also flushes out dirt in the skin and lastly to always drink plenty of water. Water is our best natural moisturizer and is the cheapest of them all. Be sure to also take care not to expose the face or other body parts to the glare of the sun to avoid sun burn. Hair treatments must be kept to a minimum to lessen wear and tear and to slowly return it back to life. Constant bleaching may thin out and stiffen the hair giving it a lackluster feel and a wig will seem more natural to the touch.

Many specialty stores offer different kinds of natural moisturizers that are more suited to sensitive skin. they me be a bit more expensive but taking into calculation the prices of medicines and creams that you will need to buy in case you have a strong reaction to them will make buying organic beauty products a safer choice. It is advised that before using any product on one’s body, it should be tested in small amounts in inconspicuous areas such as the forearm or the lower part of the neck and to wait a few minutes for a reaction to occur. Many signs of incompatibility to look out for are rashes, dermatitis, psoriasis and eczema (these are the most common). A doctor needs to be consulted to get a valid diagnosis.
