Natural Moisturizers for Hair

Our hair is our crowning glory. It is our first line of defense when it comes to protection against the rays of the sun. Hence, it is also prone to damage and drying out. We may not be aware of it, but most we have sun damage hair or even damage from too much bleaching or coloring or any sort of hair treatment for that matter. And the best way to treat them is to apply natural moisturizers for hair. Natural moisturizers like coconut oil and honey can soothe and heal our dried scalp and even bring back the long lost shine to our hair.

Natural Moisturizers For HairThey are generally two ways to moisturize hair, one is to have a masque which involves massaging it into your scalp and leaving it on for a few minutes or to just simply massage coconut oils or honey onto your scalp moisturizing the hair roots and locking in moisture when you rinse it off. Or more aggressive treatments like massaging jojoba oil onto your scalp and then rinsing it off. This direct treatment of moisturizing hair not only retains the balance of oils on your scalp but the massage also cleans the open pores that have your sebaceous glands in them. Sebaceous glands are the parts of the skin that secretes sweat and other liquids like oils giving your hair that bright shine whenever you brush it.

Other natural moisturizers for hair are egg whites, mayonnaise, tomatoes, bananas, coffee, chamomile and olive oil. You can have your pick among these ingredients as they all pitch in to help heal damaged hair and their follicles. You can mix or match them to make either a paste or a hair wash, just be sure to make a thorough massage in order for them to get absorbed into pores. They are rich in vitamins and other essentials needed to stimulate hair growth. It is almost guaranteed that all women will not have adverse reactions to these as they are widely used and have been proven effective.

Women who have problems with their hair are often advised to get treatment to make them look more natural. This is actually the opposite of what women should do, they must allow for their hair to grow and heal before opting to get hair treatment as the chemicals from these may only worsen the hair’s oily nature. With the use of natural moisturizers for hair we are assured that no piece of our scalp will either sting, burn or itch as these are all organic and non of the harmful chemicals are used. If you notice, they are also some of the foods you may already have at home and no longer need to spend a whole lot of money to “fix” your hair. Since it is summer, be sure to thoroughly wash your hair after getting out of the pool as it may dry it out or make it stiff to the touch because of the chlorine they use to treat the pool.
